Six six-word reflections #SOLC26 13/31

Today was a really long day.

In Reading Class no one read.

Wonderfully thoughtful Socratic Seminar about Omelas.

Skipped lunch to zhuzh up plans.

Didn’t matter: students needed kindness reminders.

Friday night: book club with friends

** March Break has officially started & I swear I will write more and better again starting tomorrow.

  1. “Skipped lunch to zhuzh up plans.”

You sent me to the dictionary with this six-worder line. “Zhuzh” pronounced “zhoozh…” New word! I listened to the pronunciation like 6 times and it’s weird but I have a hard time saying this word. It sounds different in Merriam-Webster than Oxford English dictionary.

“…to spruce up, tweak, or add style to something.

Such a great word. Sorry you had to skip lunch to to do teacher tweaking. Classic, though.

  2. Yay for break! One of my friends reported that their last day before break included all admin out of the building at a training (whose brilliant idea was that?!), six teachers out, two power outages, and a fight. Whew!
